You say this wont work, but in my 2011 W/O a factory sub, tapping into the rear speaker lines should work?

I've tried using a simple LOC tapped into the speaker wires and it didn't work because there is very little bass being sent to the door speakers; it's all sent to the sub. You can't tap into the sub wires with a LOC because the signal being sent to the sub amp is a low level signal (about 0.5v if I remember correctly) and LOCs require a high level signal. Theoretically you could splice a set of RCAs on to the factory sub signal wires and it should work. However it didn't work for me and I think it was because the signal was too low for my amp. What I'm attempting now is installing a differential line-driver (Rockford Fosgate RF-BLD) and I'm hoping it will get rid of any noise in the system and bump the signal up to 5v.

In case you don't know you have a DSP module that separates the signals being sent from the ACM (your headunit) and it sends high level signals to the front/rear speakers and low level signals to the OEM sub amp. It's really a pretty complicated system and it's a pain to integrate any kind of quality aftermarket system with it.

If you're interested I have a wiring schematic for the audio system. I could send it to you and you'll know what I'm talking about.
I know this is old but can I get that wiring schematic

Get 6x8 to 6.5" adapters. That's what I did. I used Rockford fosgate p1650 6.5" speakers. The MDF adapters were better quality than the plastic ones. There are adapters that convert the stock plug into two wires so you dont have to butcher the stock wires. Then I used a high level converter and put a DD 6.5" subwoofer under the back seat.
You can use an add a circuit in the fuse box on the remote wire. I used the pass airbag status circuit as it comes on when I turn the key.

The $25 sosche 8ga wiring kit at walmart is legit and OFC. It is just like the rockford fosgate 8ga kits I have used in the past.

Schematic

Does anyone have that schematic? I’ve got an 09 screw and I tapped my loc into the amp outputs under the center console and I’m getting no sound from my sub. I checked the set up in my other truck and it’s working. Any help would be appreciated im tired of bumping just my door speakers
