My buddy has a switch that disconnects the remote tun on function for his MX-1. The MX-1 supplies the remote turn on for his 3 amps. He put the switch under his dash out of sight. He likes it so he can kill the system whenever he needs but mainly for when he drops the truck off for any type of service.

just get a bass ****. the one i have is hooked up threw the rcas. works great. had for a year or 2 now and no problems. its a PAC LC1. i think i paid about that much for it. http://www.amazon.com/PAC-Remote-Amp.../dp/B0002J226O my sub is too loud for my gf and parents so i use that to turn it down then when im alone or with friends i turn it back up. haha and when its turned all the way to the left the amp doesnt play. and it stays lit up.

I put mine on my dash along with the switches for my lights. Also allows you to easily turn off your amp depending on who is riding with you...

My amps don't even connect to the stereo remote turn on. I have them running directly from a hot wire with a switch.

Brian, where'd you get those switches? I'm kinda liking them more than the tall switches I have right now. I put in a new stereo and I'm thinking about converting that empty little shelf into a switch board.

i originally had mine to a hot wire, but then i was afraid i was going to forget to turn it off one day and have a dead battery, so i just ran it it from the headunit.

anyway, i got them from autozone. they were like $6 a switch i think, but the main thing was they had to order them in because it seems all the autozones only have 1 of each color in stock. so in order to get 4 of the same color, they had to come from all over. i'm pretty sure ive seen them online for cheaper (just google search LED Round Rocker Switch).
