Amps under front seats?!?

Anyone know of any amps that actually fit under our seats if you dont have all the vents and such? Looks like a little room under there but has anyone done it and still able to have the seat mobile?

I have a Rockford P300.1 amp under my front passenger seat. The seat moves just fine, no obstruction at all, abnd the amp is pretty much under the seat as long as the seat isn't pushed ALL THE WAY forward. It does kinda block the floor vent a bit, but I've had no problems running air at it. I've wired a Rockford T500.1 amp under there, and an Alpine PDX600.1, all those amps fit fine without blocking seat movement. I'm not sure about under the driver seat though if you have electric controls for your seat since there will be a large harness in the way, along with motors and drive systems.

No electric harness, looks like just the plugs for the airbag sensors which im worried about dragging it over the top of the amp. Did u pull the seats to mount em?

Considering trying to find some crazy small tweeter amp cheap and seeing what i can do.
I really don't want to mount amps to the back wall for everyone to see.

With the amps I've had under my passenger seat, there was no contact with the seatbelt and airbag engage sensor with the amplifiers while the seat shifted. And for mounting and changing out amps, I did remove the seats mainly because the amps were situated so far underneath the seats that I couldn't access the wiring and rear screw mounts.

Check out the JL XD amps. You can fit a lot of power in a tiny tiny place.

Do they sell a bottle of lube with them?

I also installed my Kenwood 9105D under the front passenger seat, but then again they are small amps.

It's not perfect but it works... Lots of guys are intalling these behind the rear seat, which would be a much cleaner install...not to mention, theives couldn't see them (or figure out how to get the back seat off quickly :-))

It fits and my seat moves fully... however I couldn't screw it to the floor...there is a large wiring harness that runs under it... so it's just laying there... doesn't move around at all... notice the dirt on it... it does get kicked some from backseat passengers...

This pic is taken looking right at it... with my lift, and tinted windows.. either amp in NOT visible from outside of the truck to about 90% of folks...

mor pics of the system in the gallery

That's because you have a reg cab. Scab and screw seats don't have that brace, otherwise they are identical.

Don't know, scab seats also have the seatbelt built in like yours but no brace. If the brace can't be easily removed, try looking into a swap for some scab seats.
