Weird smells for amp or subs?

i know thats what im saying but hes saying it shouldnt pop a fuse, if the fuse is too small it will pop lol

If it is properly installed it will have the correctly rated fuse for the task.
You will not blow fuses on a properly installed system unless there is a fault which is what the fuses are there for. The fuse near the battery is to prevent fires due to damaged or shorted wires and the fuse at the amp is to protect the amp. The rating of the fuse at the battery is determined by the wire size used not by the amp's draw. The amp's fuse is set by the amp manufacturer to protect the amp should there be some internal failure.
