Is there any space behind the Back seat of the 2002 Extended cab trucks to mount amps?? If there is how does it come off??

 

id say nope. theres not much room back there at all and the amp would probably overheat back there. mines under the drivers front seat.

 

how did u secure the amp and also how did u run the wiring to it??

 

It's mounted with two screws to the floor of the cab and the wires are run under the rubber floor and to the door sill then front for the power and control and grounded to the floor also and then rear forthe sub hook up. I have some pics I'll post them up soon

Hey, I'll get some pictures tonight or tomorrow for you showing the back seat and the mounting points. I am in the process right now of installing an alpine pdx-5 and took my back seat off to see if there was room to mount it back there; it's tight, but doable though I will probably just install it under the passenger front seat as planned originally. There is a spot right in the middle where you could mount one, the pdx-5 is smaller than most amps, but I think it's just too tight.
