Will a capacitor help?

I have 2 amps in the truck, one for the sub and the other for the components up front. Nothing too big, nothing fancy or crazy wattage. I just notice on some songs when the volume is up, the lights dim a little and I think my headlights flicker a tiny bit which is my main concern. Truck is completely stock electrical wise and plan on keeping it that way. I thought a capacitor might help the dimming, but i've never used on on any thing I've installed and dont know too much about them. I just need something basic, nothing fancy. What are you guys using? Tha amps are close to 500 watts each, and not turned up all the way. I just wanted a nice clear sound with a little bass to back it up. Thanks guys

i say no i would start off with the big three or a least two of them
1. upgrade battery ground and wire going from alternator to battery to a heavier gauge
2. upgrade battery
3. upgrade alternator
the 1st two would be the cheapest and it sound like the 3rd is out of question anyways

Caps can do some unwanted harm to your electrical

if you notice all of the big name audio gurus don't have caps they use a ton of batteries and upgraded alternators and large high grade wiring

i am running 1500 watts on my system with no cap
my battery ground and power are both 2 gauge as of now (i still have a slight light dim but still stock battery)

hope this helps

EDIT: i left the stock battery ground and bought a ground post with multipule grounds so i am runnung the 2guage with the stock ground also

thanks, I did a little searching and found the "big 3" to be on alot of them. How hard is it to change out those wires? What type of wire and connectors do I need?

the hardest time i had was finding what size my alternator was to get a fuse to replace the one going from the alternator to the battery

as far as grounding go to and audio shop and pick up some new battery post mounts with multiple negative connections and positive connections (they come in packs of both or you can just get the negative one ) connectors just regular eye connectors will work and just find a good spot to ground to and try and make it as short as possible

how is your set up wired now ground locations and wire sizes??
