For pure sub work, the class D amps will work best as they require less power (they are more efficient). So, that's the Infinity and Kenwood. Between the two, the Infinity bass response will go lower (11Hz vs 20Hz), but the Kenwood has more power (300W @ 4Ohm vs 200W). Also, the Infinity has an option for a remote level **** (a manual dial for your dash to turn it down if you need to). The Kenwood has speaker level inputs. That means you could wire it to any radio (even factory).

Just my opinion, but the Kenwood looks like the better deal. I'm only basing this off the specs, as I've never used any of those amps. All that being said, that Soundstorm does look interesting for the price....

i was thinking that the infinity might be ok but it only comes with a 90 day warranty. heres one that i think would be better with a 2 yr. warranty. im not a big fan of kicker but for the price i think its a better deal than the others. i have 3 different sub amps (kicker zx1500.1, rockford fosgate t20001bd, and an orion hcca d5000), out of those 3 my favorite is the fosgate. the kicker is a good amp it just didnt have enough power for my sub and couldnt run at 1 ohm.

2006 Kicker zx300.1 $134.99

2008 Kicker zx300.1 $139.99

I like that Kicker ... There is a Pro Audio Down the street that carries Kicker .. I may see if he has this amp and wants to do a little price matching... Thanks for the help... I had almost bought the Lanzar, I remember when I was in High School in the 80's ( I know Im Old I am just refusing to grow up ) anyway when I was in school everybody used to talk about how great Lanzar was and how they won competitions and all... Sad thing is that was like 24 years ago... I dont think we even had CD players back then ... I will see if I have some photos of my old stereo stuff in my 1980 Mustang Ghia...

Back then all of the companies made quality equipment. Nowadays the mainstream companies offer a bunch of chinese built crap and slap huge unrealistic numbers on the box....and people buy it.

You have to look to smaller companies to find anything quality nowadays. Sad, I know.

Have you considered going to a local Stereo shop and listening to some amplifiers , like everyone used to do before all these online sellers ? There would be no waiting for product , you get a Warranty and your helping your local Economy .

Ok I went to Pro Audio ( a small family owned audio shop) I listened to a bunch of amps and sub combo's .. The young guy that helped me out seemed to be pretty dang smart.. First he looked at what I had done .. He said I did the best I could do with what I had.. Then we looked at a few different amps.. He suggested Kicker ZX amps .. They sounded great .One for the kicker 10 inch sub and one amp for the front and rear speakers,, He didnt bash my sony sub to bad , but he told me if I wanted to keep it that I needed a way bigger box.. Well he spent about 1 hour with me today and I filled out the credit app.. So he did say that he would be as close to the ebay price as possible on the stuff and mentioned that if I had any problems for 12 months after the purchase that they would be glad to fix it or give me a replacement... WOW and they are only a mile down the street .. Oh yeah if I spend over 500.00 its a free install this month...

thats what happens when you buy from bull**** places like that website. That amp has a 1 year warranty on it from the factory. But since your buying it so cheap, you dont get that. You get their 90 day crap warranty, which probablly doesnt cover jack and even if you have a problem, good luck ever getting anyone to help you. I can barely get that amp that cheap, and i get an employee accomodation through Harman Kardon (owns infinity, among others).
