Damnit Jim. It's a sad day :-(

I know a lot of guys think "their amp" is the best amp, or the best value, or the cleanest, or whatever.....

But I'm telling you guys, this > http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...OWER-1000.html < really was the BEST value, for a clean, full, 5 channel system.
....... and for a long time, SonicE would have it.... then it would be out of stock.... then they would have it again... then out of stock. So, I went there today, to see if it was back in stock again, and I saw that it had been discontinued altogether :-(

On the one hand, I'm really confident that this amp is not going to fail on me, for a long time, as I'm running it on easy loads, and I've yet to have the heat indicator light come on, even when working it hard, on hot days.
Plus, RF tells me their is pretty much nothing they can't fix on this amp, should it fail.

I'm more worried about thieves..... but even they will be in for a bunch of surprises, should they decide to eff with my $#!+

I just love this amp so much, I had even considered buying another one, just for a backup.... or even, running two of them

But no more of them from SonicE I guess....

Bummer.

Hey Mixed.....

AADD

True story... when I was like 7 years old (they hadn't coined the term ADD yet) the school called my parents in for a conference, in which they said "Christopher is a very bright young man > if we could only get him to pay attention to, and go along with, the things he is supposed to be doing"

40 years later, nothings changed. You just never know where my mind will be at any given time or place..... but almost never following along with the majority, except maybe by pure coincidence

Peace,
Fish

Hello Cortinas. I ripped my rear seat out months before I put in the stereo. In fact, I was planning to get rid of it, and build a false rear wall, and floor, way before I ever started considering a big stereo.
I just wanted / needed more wide open, in-cab storage space, than I do seating space.

Oh, but I'm running two eD Kv.2's (12"s) two 8" Dayton midbass drivers, and a set of Polk Audio component mids / highs, in the stock location in the doors.
My deck is a Kenwood Excelon X792.
But the heart of the whole system is my RF Power 1000 5ch. That thing was a rediuculous good bargain for $500 from SonicE while it lasted. It had an MSRP of $1500 ! {and if a guy had plenty of money, I'd say it was worth $1500}

I like my custom built grille. You always see this on oldschool home speakers... but never in a vehicle....

Peace,
Fish

Chris man im telling you get those 8s in the doors with proper treatments, the components in kick panels, and tune it all with a RF360. You'll have a nice center image, it will sound a bajillion times better.

Hey mSaLL, damn I wish that wasn't true, as that's probably about $800 to $1000 I don't have right now.....

But yes, that is totally the two things I'd like to do the most.... a little bit of deadening a close 3rd.

Sucks being poor..... But hey, at least I have the next 3 days off 2 for fishing, the middle one for playing with the new DA machine on the car (and when I get it down, the truck next

Peace,
Fish
