I may be able to get a great deal on a JL 500/5. (100x2, 25x2, 250x1)

I was thinking I could run mids off of the two front channels at 100W and run tweets of the rear channels at 25W, using the bandpass setting on the amp.

Can I use the crossovers on the 500/5 to run a decent active set up in an Screw? Am I way off with my thinking?

 

yes u can run active with that amp. that is basically why they have all those settings. any of the slash series are are built for that. i am gonna do the same thing with my 300/4 just waiting to get my components. also i am doing the same in the back seat, this way my people have good sound when we go places.
