Good ol' engine noise
Good ol' engine noise
I have searched the forums for this and didn't find anything on MY issue.
My system sounded fine until I ran a second set of RCA's to my 4 channel amp and now I get engine noise. I replaced my single RCA HU (Pioneer) with a double RCA HU (JVC KD-HDR50). Before running the second set of brand new cables, I ran the system as before with no noise. Once I ran the second set, engine noise.
Both sets of RCA's are run down opposite side from power wire. They both are Rockford Fosgate brand shielded RCA's from Best Buy. HU is grounded through wiring harness as before. 2 foot long amp ground bolted down to bare metal by the tire jack frame. Orion 4004 4 ch. amp with Rockford Fosgate amp wiring. ED 10" sub. Cadence front components.
I don't think grounding it to the seat bolt will make a difference. My 2005 F 150's body is bolted to the frame with rubber donuts. Any suggestions?
