Another -- which amp?

A little background info --- Right now I have an Alpine CDA-7897 as my head unit and it is powering my speakers. Further, I have an MTX 6500D powering two 12" subs.

I would like to add a second amp to power my speakers and some dome tweeters (I have not added them yet)

What amp should I get and in general how should I wire everything to make it all work with 2 amps?

are you going to add tweeters on top of your other speakers? I am assuming your not running components, and that you are wanting to amp the speakers and the tweeters. I would get a 4 channel amp and run the rear channels to the front speakers and the front channels to the tweeters, and get rid of the rears all together or just leave them powered off the head unit for rear fill.

Thanks a lot for the replies

Ya, I wasn't really planning on running components.

I have some pioneer's in the front door panel and would like to add the tweeters in addition to those. I think only one of my rears even works right now and usually just have it faded mostly up to the front.

A four channel amp to the front and tweeters sounds pretty good -- how would I wire the amp to work in addition to my current amp running the subs?

Tweeters would run fine off my head unit? If so I might just get some replacements for the rear also and amp them up
