Well by the numbers, that Pioneer gives up 200 watts ... but does so with 26x less distortion.

26 1/3 times less to be exact. HAHA! I get 100RMS less, 200Max less but a better sound. But with the Kenwood I have some room for improvement later. If I use the Kenwood properly I wont blow the subs even though it has 300RMS and 600Max. Thanks for the help Low.

LOW! Does it really matter if the amp has a gain remote? This one doesn't, would it be possible to add one? Or should I go the Pioneer GM-D8400M. 600RMS 1200Max .03% THD with remote, or would this just destroy my subs? The price difference is $147 to $190.

Sorry to be so troublesome. And thanks again!

For the amp....like around $100-$200, but the cheaper the better. As long as it's quality, both made and sound.

LOL @ that. Im curious...why do you say so?

Amps are the one thing where "you get what you pay for" is tough to get around.

But keep in mind for the price of those JL amps you could get much better. Same goes for their subwoofers. Well, pretty much anything they make actually.

JL = Quality? yes. Worth the pricetag? Nope.
