One Good 10 and a Amp

I Know nothing about subs except for the fact that i need one good 10 (sounds clear and bumps pretty hard). I have 2 10 kickers right now wired up to a 1000w amp. Have know i idea whats the best way to wire it. But anyways i need a new 10 and a amp that matches up good, for around $400. Any suggestions/ recommendations would be helpful.

You obviously dont work at a shop. Because if you did, ebay wouldnt be your recommendation everytime. You would start to see why the industry is tanking, why jobs are being lost and companies cut. Ebay and the other internet retailers are a HUGE part of this.

I don't. I wouldn't be able to afford and do the things I do with car audio if I did. The industry is tanking bc the newer products such as the ones you recommend are basically expensive junk. Also, most of the owners and employees at most of the car audio shops are idiots for lack of better words due to this site's rule on cussing.

Alright let me look around.

Are you somewhere around 5 or 6 years old? Or are you just plain stupid?

In a time of recession, I think buying used equipment is good, if you have to do so. If you can afford to support the economy, we all know that consumer spending is a big part of uplifting it. Most of my equipment is new, but I also choose some used equipment because I found NEW stuff at used prices from dependable sources.

His budget for an amp and sub are $400. That is not much but it can be done.

There is an Image Dynamics 10" ID10d-v3 for sale right now on ebay for $95 plus shipping ($35.00). New and from a dependable source. My best friend just ordered one and received it. It was legit. http://cgi.ebay.com/NIB-Image-Dynamics-ID10D4-V3-10-dual-4-ohm-subwoofer_W0QQitemZ170295169156QQcmdZViewItemQQptZ Car_Subwoofers_Enclosures?hash=item170295169156&_t rksid=p3911.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1205|66%3A2|65%3 A12|39%3A1|240%3A1318

That will leave you with about $275-$300 for the amp.

One off the cuff recommendation is a good used DLS A6 mono amp. It runs 500w RMS at 4 ohm. But the above sub is a DVC so you will want to wire it to 2 ohms. At 2 ohms, the DLS A6 produces about 870w RMS. I have one of these amps, BNIB which I got for $300 shipped to me. I have it now....and its awesome.

I would have to take a close look at the sub to see how well these two match up, but its a start.

Exactly...$400 is not a lot at all when it comes to car audio. That's why I recommend getting used, but taken care of stuff.

No it won't. Many two channel amps are awesome BTW and so are single subs.

I just ordered a pair of the JL 10W3v2's. I can't wait. Based on the specs the shorter v2 version should fit in the supercrewsounds box with the extra 5/8" in height. I will be running the off of a pair of Alpine M350's. Each one will get 350 rms / 700 max. Mmmmmm.
