Constant power to amp

Last weekend the family took a trip to minneapolis. Anyways, my parents wanted me to park my truck in the garage so nothing happened to it, so I did. Come back 2 days later, and my truck is dead. Come to find out my amp had stayed on and killed the battery.

I know it is the remote because if the truck is off and I pull the remote, the amp shuts off. I checked the back of the headunit and it looks just fine. What else could I check for?

This didnt ever happen before I parked it in the garage, so dunno what happened

Thanks

I had an alpine stereo in my wifes car do this.. For some reason something inside the head unit made the amp on and off lead stay hot .. They Guy at Automotive Audio said it was a radio defec and gave us a new unit... never had the problem again.. My Pioneer in my truck the amp power lead wont even work so I have the amp on/ and off hooked to a fuse that turns on and off with the key..

Acc wire behind the radio works well for that.

Why do you need to install a switch ? Just unhook the remote wire from your radio and hook it to the Acc wire(Red on aftermarket Radio's) that your radio is connected to . When you turn the key on , your amp & radio will turn on .

^ is the correct way.

To install a switch. Cut wire and attach one side to one contact the other to the other...
