2ch. vs. 4ch. amp

Whats a better amp for powering your door speakers, 2ch. or 4ch.? Also whats a good brand for that?

depends on what you are looking for. just two speakers or all four?
if its just two, then it doesn't matter, find one that best matches your power needs

then you gotta get a 4 channel. wiring with a 2 ch would be a pain

the previous posts were a little vague.

a 2 channel amp only has a left and a right output.

a 4 channel amp has front left, front right, rear left, rear right.

you can run 4 speakers off of a 2 channel amp no problems, if you wire it correctly.

if you just want some nice sound then a 2 ch will suffice you just fine. the amp will be cheaper but it will be a little more difficult to wire.

im just sayin that with a 2 channel amp, you would have to run the speakers in parallel/series, which would be annoying to do with door speakers. also you wouldn't be able to control rear fade, so the sound stage would be jacked
