help. hooking up aftermarket amp to audiophile

please someone help. i'm hooking a up a punch amp to the audiophile sub-amp wire inputs...

my punch is hooked up correctly. if i plug my ipod into the punch it rocks the woofer, however when i splice my rca's into the audiophile sub inputs, i'm getting no sound... i cut the end off the rca's and spliced them into the 2 audiophile sub-amp inputs... is this correct????

1) You need an output

2) There should only be one +/- output (if I remember correctly)

yes, i splice one rca into the audiophile pre-amp wires and then used a Y rca jack to input into the punch amp... the only way i can get it to work is to use a LOC on the audiophile amp speaker wires.... i just thought i wouldn't have to do that...
