type r components amped?

Im looking at getting a 4 channel ( PPI 4240 ) amp for my type R components in the front and 2 ways 5x7 R's in the back, will this amp power them decently? Or look for something different?

get an amp that throws out at least 2x100 RMS to those components, they are power hungry.

Which R's are they? The new ones or the old?

The new ones need at least 100w RMS...

For 07 Alpine completely revamped their Type-R (highs) lineup. Instead of 60-70 to sound good they take a lot more. Use a different tweeter style and different midrange design. The xover network uses higher quality parts.... Just a better design.

Im pretty sure the 4 channel that i was looking at wont work then. What do u think i should get for an amp that will make these LOUD, low? I also have a Audiocontrol EQL that i wanna run on them, just to tweak things..
