wiring two amps

hey guys i need some help with wiring my new subs to a mono amp. Here is what i currently have hooked up in there.

1 Alpine PDX 4.150 4 Channel (4 Gauge Wire)
4 Alpine Component's SPR - 13S
Pioneer Avic D3

I ordered (2) Kicker CVT 10 and an alpine 1.600 watt amp, which finally came in this afternoon.

I didn't hook any of the listed items above up, but it can't be that hard and am tired of paying people to do this crap for me.

My question is how the hell do i hook everything up?(pictures would help) haha.

you guys problay hate noobies like me, but hey car audio isn't my cup of tea, so any help is appreciated. Thanks,

The most common response will be to use the search button. All of the questions have been answered numerous times. That said, run a single wire from the battery to a distribution block. I'd probably recommend 1/0 to the block and 4ga to the amps. It may be overkill but better too much than too little. Make sure to fuse the power close to the battery. Be picky about your ground.

Since you're amping the full range make CERTAIN that you run the audio cables down one side of the truck and power down the other.

As for the speakers and the head unit simply do a search on front speaker replacement, rear speaker replacement, and installing DD radio. Removing the door panels has been covered a lot and it's an indepth process (in the rear anyway) so find the directions. The head unit isn't hard but you'll need to find the VSS wire as well as reverse and parking brake if you're running them correctly without the bypass.

Good luck but trust me on the search link..

Yup, as said above you can make a 1/0 run to the back and use a distro block to run two 4ga out to your two amps. You should be able to tie into your current remote wire on the 4.150 to turn on your new 1.600 as well. You may need to run rca's from your head unit back to the 1.600, or if the 4.150 has an output you can just run from there if your not worried about the subwoofer control on your head unit.

Should be a pretty straight forward upgrade. As stated before, definately make a good ground when you go to ground the new amp.

sweet thanks guys i got it everything half assed hooked up. only one problem both RCA, signal cable and power cable where cut to damn near exact length ( had a audio shop put that in) he didnt listen to me when i said i wanted the damn amp mounted on the back of the cab because i was going to be using the space under the seat.

Here's my question though, like i said i have 2 of those alpine pdx amps, do you think it'd be able to stack them in my center console, or would there be over heating issues?

If guys are pinning them between rear seats and the back wall with no over heating issues, I cant see why they would overheat in a center console.
