amp wont work. protection light is on. HELP

I was cruising down the road not pushing my system hard at all and my subs go out. Look at my amp (audiobahn 4000t) and the protection lamp is on. Ive overheated it before and its done this but it usually kicks back on in about 30 seconds. well its been a week now and its still on. so here is what i checked

fuses are good
ground is good
power wire is good
remote wire is good
wires to my subs look good
everything behind the deck look good

so i cant find where it would be grounded out. anybody have any ideas. is my amp toast?

well i have audiobahn subs and i have never looked to see what speakers are in the door. but i know they're not stock, soon to be replaced with infinity speakers. i've had this set up for a little over 3 years.

check your subs with an ohm meter and make sure they're not blown. If they test good then I'd send the amp out for repair or buy a new one. good deals on craigslist....
