Didn't mean for it to be personal . I just think it's funny how alot of people on this forum slam others installs, and their istall isn't any better . Low E is an installer , when he see's a noob's install , that noob needs encouragement . Give him positive feedback like , looks very good but you should take better pics , or looks good but maybe you shouldd think about changing this or that . Instead he says AINT BAD . Then I look at his install (in his vehicle) and the amp pics are very dark , exposed wiring everywhere , + and - cables coming out of cap are looped (who does that ,LOL) The install in this thread to me looks better than his , and he says Aint Bad . Doesn't Aint Bad mean Aint Good as well ? I guess I would expect more from a person that installs for a living . Once again , not meant to be personal . Just stating the facts in my opinion .

You know the old saying "A plumbers sink is always the one to leak"? Thats how a lot of installers vehicles are. We spend all the time working on customers cars rather than our own. I know exactly what Low's talking about. Mine was done the same way.

How else was he supposed to do it? I didnt see anything wrong with it. It was clean and symmetrical.

Two of by best friends and Team members are installers at actual car audio stores(not big box stores). There personal vehicles are SQ competition vehicles , and they do compete with them in the pro and expert class . . My point is this , if I were a noob looking to have a system installed . The first thing I would do is walk in the store and say to the installer , let me see your vehicle . If his own personal install is shotty , do I really think he's going to give a sh*t about my vehicle . A wise man once told me that every install is a self portrait of the person who does it .

Every installers situation is different. Myself, I work 60 hours a week at my regular job, then moonlight at the stereo shop for about 10-15 hours a week. I only have one vehicle (that runs at the moment) and I cant afford (much less, have the time) to have my truck down for 2 weeks while I do what I inevitably want to do with it.

Your buddies are lucky guys. I wish to God I could do everything that I want to my truck. You'd see me on the competition circuit. But the real world has other plans. For now.

Nice Quote, but when I wrote it, it wasnt to act an *** but so not to **** you off. Its a 2008 xD... Had to be this year...

My best work is in others vehicles. Now my vehicle will look good where things can be seen. And it will still be done right without shortcuts... It just doesnt need to be some nuts work because Im not showing that off to customers. Would you seriously pull the whole back seat off in front of a customer just to show the way the amps were mounted? If so, I really dont believe you. Maybe a picture... But come on.

Now I also have a pic floating around somewhere of the CLS550 I worked on. I did Polk dB 6501's in the front Polk db521s in the rear and a custom box for a Pioneer shallow mount 10" (that he brought me...ehh). There was an RF 3Sixty.1, KKR 350.4 and 350.2. Everything was Tsunami X series interconnects (not the Katanas like mine) and 16ga throughout.

There is also another pic I have with that Benz and a E320 that I was putting an alarm in. Gotta find it though..

That attack wasnt cool. When you said Ground Loop, I thought you were talking about a GLI. Yes, that is what it was, but I had already mounted those Distribution blocks, plus there is only a few places to screw into where you arent poking through the cab.

Aint bad where Im from has always meant Nice work. It was on a cell phone.

This is my daily driver. I dont have the ability to spend more than 5-6 hours doing something. Because of the way my life is. Yes, I do have another car:

My 06 Explorer - I bought for my sister for her 15th Bday. Because we were raised by a single mom. So im not going to drive it let alone take it from her.

So seriously understand the surroundings before you make an attack.

Also, you say I dont help n00bs and dont encourage them enough? Well, have you been through most of my threads? Probably not, because you wouldnt say that then. I have posted up how to wire a 4ch and broke it down. How to set gains, broke it down. How to do the aux-in mod, broke it down. Then someone needed help understanding how to solder, broke it down for him. Not to mention, I am always pushing people to at least give it a shot. Thats how I learned.

And how many 19year olds do you know that has their 1st class. (Im now 20)

I guess that's the fun of the internet. Two people can read the same thing two completely different ways. I read it as that he couldn't see anything wrong with it, but would reserve judgement till he saw better pics. Flame wars have been started over less.

Hmmm, this has me thinking. I think I'll head over to the general forum and post up a thread titled "Tundra - Ain't bad" and see where it gets me.

Now...where's that guy with his better pictures dangit!

I opologize if that's the way you took it . I don't feel that i attacked you . I think I was more trying to bring you back to reality , as I have children older than you . You were trying to tell me how my truck sounds , before ever hearing it , over highed as you put it , imaging would be centered ,etc . I have noticed that you help noob's alot , and I commend you for that . You came off to me as a 20 year old know it all installer at Circuit City . Believe me I have seen my share , I usually put them in their place as well . I don't claim to know it all (far from it ) but I won't let a 20 year old installer from anywhere , tell me things that I know better . I'm been competing for longer than most of them have been alive .

Im no know it all installer. And will definately agree with that. (you didnt know I was 20) But I know more for my age than most. And the same goes for most installers. I have my years in, guarantee you that. Wayy before I could drive. (its not 25 years but in excess of 7) I think thats awesome you have been competing for 25 years. I just have heard those components and I dont like them a BIT. I never asked for a reality check, mainly because I really do my part in not letting ego take over. But dont question my creds again. Just because I work at CCity doesnt mean a thing. It just might be one of the best shops in the area. All the other mom and pop shops here might be dirty, trashy, slease shops.

What class do you partake in?
