Amp ground...Is it a bad idea?

I didn't want to drill any unnecessary holes. It took a total of 5 minutes to do what I did and it is easily accessible under the flip up seat. If I run into a ground problem, no big deal it will take another 5 minutes to drill a new one. I appreciate the input.

That's the good thing about doing your own install. You can do it however you want and if you decide to change something later, so be it. Good luck with the install.

I'm the same way about unnecessary holes as well. Besides my drilling usually goes along the lines of...check, check again, check yet again, drill.....DOH! Fuel line! Curse curse curse, throw drill, injure myself, curse some more.

Maybe my next install I'll give the new hole method a try.

Wheres your sense of adventure? Just remember, its only a screw up if it cant be unscrewed.

I have plenty of sense of adventure. Read up my writeup under Appearance mods for my headlights.

I just always felt safer using a bolt that was already there. For my next install we'll give it a go!

If it aint broke....don't fix it right? Both of my amps sound great using the jack bolts

Don't you mean "if it aint broke, fix it until it is"??

At least that's the way we do it in Uncle Sams United States Navy!!!
