Get yourself a Kicker PKD1 install kit....great kit and they are pretty cheap on Ebay.

You will need to get some speakerwire and RCAs somewhere since those kits dont come with any though....

So you think I would need 0 guage wires and not 4 gauge to power this set up? I ask because I have another system set up already but I think it has 4 gauge power wire leading from the battery to a distribution block and then 8 gauge to my 2 amps. My new one is a more powerful set up

Total RMS watts of old set up 410 watts: 250w x1 and 40w x4
Total RMS of new set up - 1100 watts: 600w x 1 and 125w x4

1100 watts....with 500 of that coming from a 4 channel, most likely A/B, I would definatley want 0 gauge.

On your other setup, with only 410 watts...that is nothing for 4 gauge. But 1100 watts....not what I would want to do really.

Maybe if it was a class D and I only had 4 gauge, and really couldnt get 1/0...then you could JUST get by with 4 gauge maybe...for a short time

But 1/0 is what I would want to be running.

2ga is the minimum you need. It is a bit harder to find. So 1/0 is your best bet...

Know your amps dont ya... lol. Its odd using a D for a 4ch because the switching networks have to run so damn high... approx 480kHz. Another Alpine Invention... Right?

Haha yeah...that why I said it (the 4 gauge) would probably work for a short time...maybe Then you would probably want the fire department handy lol

I didnt even know that those Alpines were Class Ds.:o

I guess there are some benifits to it, but also some bad things about using one for a full range amp over an A/B design...

ebay

Are all the amp wiring kits on ebay crap, or are they worth purchasing? I saw on here that the Kicker ones were pretty good, but I want something that already has the RCA's and speaker wire.
