If thats the RF Power series 5 channel than expect about 900 at 1 ohm from the sub channel, and overall the whole amp is drastically underrated. If thats the one your talking about then get it, CD had a sale for about $400 for it a couple weeks ago, might wana see if its still going on.

I had a front channel to go out on my JL 500/5 .... i've had nothing but trouble out of my JL... i've heard this is odd... but if your looking for a 5 channel... ARC Audio just came out with the ks 900.6 puts 100x4 and 500x1 . It's sweet.

Out of the two you mentioned I would definately take the JL over the RF anyday. Im not much of a RF fan though, so I am biased.

I was going to use that 500/5 originally. Just remember that most of the power is geared towards the front 2 channels. Perfect if you are setting up the front soundstage and just running the rears as fill.

Not to post a classified... but I have a 5 channel alpine if anyone needs one.

The power from the rockford is great, but at the same time I don't want too much power, just want one trustworthy amp to power my system. I have three elemental design 8's that'll use the sub channel and a set of rainbow componets for the front and rainbow two-ways for the rear

My rockford power1000 spec sheet reads 110x4@ 4ohms and 911x1@ 1ohm for the sub by the new cea-2006 ratings. Besides the power it's the best looking amp ever made. GO ROCKFORD

Seriously too much power is not a bad thing if your settings are in order. I dont know why people dog RF when the Power series are all severly underrated especially the RF t3002.
