Amp on then off

I got my amp all wired in and ready for my Avic-D3. I connected everything including the remote lead to the power antenna wire on the D3 harness so that the amp would go on when the radio was on.

Tested it and the light on my Kicker ZX 700.5 went green and stayed on. Screen on the Avic came on asking for the navigation disk. Turned everything off and went on to finish up to put the head unit in place.

When I did one last check, the amp didn't come on. The only thing different I did was at the RCA cables from my amp to the Avic harness. I checked those and nothing seemed out of norm. Even unplugged them and tried again.

Any ideas?

Always start by checking the fuses.

Okay, I'm replying to my own S.O.S.

The amp works when the "radio" is on the head unit, but not the iPod feature or CD. So, the wire on the Avic harness that I thought would feed the amp all the time when it was on, doesn't.

Next question, where can I plug in the amp lead on wire to?

Connect it to whatever turns on and off with the key.

you make sure you connected the remote to blue/white???
sounds like you have the wire on the antenna wire (for a power antenna to go up when the radio is on) and that wire is a plain blue.
