I believe Brypink2 has some pics of his Big3... Might want to look in his gallery.
I have yet to do it on mine, but it doesnt look like too big of an issue on these trucks. No majorly tight spots or suprises that it looks like.

How much of a strain do you have on your electrical system (amps, lights, etc?) Might want to look into going up to 2 or 1/0 gauge. I figure if your going to do something like that you might as well do it right the first time. 4 gauge just isnt worth the time and money...to ME anyway. 1/0 welding wire is just as cheap as most 'stereo brand' 4 gauge...

pointless to use 4 gauge on a big 3 upgrade. Go ahead and use the right stuff. 0/1 gauge. I did it but I don't have pics up. Just ground the engine and the battery on the frame at the same spots is the only thing I would recommend.

looks like ill be doing it in 0awg i remember in my tc, when i did the big 3 in 4 gauge, i gained a full volt through out my electrical system. with out my system bumping it whent from around 13v, to 14.2v (but i did have underdrive pulleys in my car.) ive got alot fo 0awg left over from my install so ill be doing it soon.

i havent found a major drain on the electrical system in the truck, interior lights dim when they are on, but not headlights. i will be getting hids with in a few days anyway, so that will help if there is headlight dim and i just didnt notice lol.

does any one know what the output of the stock alternator is?

Upgrade is relatively easy. The most complicated thing is removing the air intake tube to get access to the alternator bolt.
