need pics of amps on back wall

Well almost all of my wiring is done. Backseat is out. I was going to mount the amps but couldn't really find a place flat enough for them to sit. Do you guys use plywood or mdf screwed to the back wall then mount the amps or do you just screw them to the back wall and put washers in for spacers. Also I'll be putting some sound deadning in eventually but for now do I leave the black panel thingy in there. BTW my truck doesn't have a sliding rear glass. Also how high up do you mount them.

I put two pieces of MDF back there screwed to the back wall, then mounted the amps on the MDF. I'll try to get some pics if you still want them.

If you can and it isn't to much trouble. I mounted mine on a piece of 3/4 plywood (had it laying around) I haven't tried putting the seat in yet. My sub box should be here in about an hour so after I get that set up I'll try to put it back in.

Sure thing - my truck has a power rear sliding window and I had to re-locate the motor for that, but other than that it was pretty straight forward. I'll try to get some and post em tonight.

x2, thats the way to do it.
Welcome to the site too, Lamfada.

If you have the MDF do it like this, or else sometimes people will screw them directly to the back wall if it is 'doubled up' where they screw it. That way you dont have a screw sticking out the back of your cab where moisture can get in...
Screw your MDF into places like this too.

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you - I ended up having to go out of town for a few days and I didn't have access to my pics. At any rate, here's a pic of the amps on the back wall during my install:

Thanks Bartak! Actually, I've been a member for a while, I just only post about 4 times a year, whether I need to or not At any rate, I appreciate the welcome!

I also forgot about this - Bartak is exactly right, you will want to run your screws on the doubled up portion of the back wall so you don't go through the cab. Excellent catch!

Yeah, I am loving the Arcs - add the Rainbows and . That 1500 you're running must be a beast! Unfortunately my 2100 bit the dust so I am using an Alpine PDX until I can get it relaced.

Hey...........easy on the PDX bashing
I'm looking forward to adding my ARC 1500 this week along with 2 IDQ 12's. My PDX 4.150 will then be used on my front comps..
This should sound decent right Bartak1?

haha - nah, I am kinda liking the PDX actually. I'm just one of those people that wants my amps to match. I am probably going to be using it for a while so I better get used to it! I was going to put it in my car to run some comps so it was something I had on hand that matched my sub almost perfectly.

Haha yeah its more than enough. But then again you cant have enough...later on down the road I will probably end up with a second 1500...one one each Mag
That sucks about the 2100 dying on you.
