Question Amp and CB Radio?

When the time comes I am going to put a cb in my truck and I will want to do a few amps I know that both the power wire for the amps and the antenna coax wire throw off radio waves that cause interference with somethings will there be a problem if these 2 wires get close to each other? Thanks.

There CAN be. Just take your time and do it right and you wont have a problem though.

Thanks man i have two other questions if you dont mind one it i have also heared that if you wire to many amps turn on wires to the hu's turn on wire the wires will take up somuch power that the radio wont turn on. is that true and if so how can you avoid it? Also when wireing numerous amps and you run out of rca patches what do you do with the other rca cables?

I wouldnt worry about the turn on wire unless your putting a HUGE load on it. How many amps/accesories are you going to stick on it?

Im not sure what you mean about running out of RCAs though?? Could you elaborate on that a little bit please...

Ok I gotcha now.

If the HU has three RCA jacks they are most likely Front, Rear, and Sub.

Depending on the amp, it might have RCA outputs, or pass throughs. If they do, you can run your RCA's from the Hu to one amps inputs, then from that amps outputs to the next amps inputs, and so forth depending on the amount of amps you have.

If your amps DONT have RCA pass throughs, you will have to buy RCA splitters. You can get them in either a single male to two female form, or single female to two male. Either one will work, just depends if you want to have the splitters by the head unit or the amps. I would suggest single female to two male, that way you only need to run one set of RCAs (per output) from the HU to the amps, and you can hook the splitters directley into the amps (assuming they are close enough to each other)
