3Sixty.2 Set up

I did the initial set up on my Rockford 3Sixty.2 last night , I was wondering if anyone knows if Ford has any kind of built in EQ that changes as the volume is adjusted? I would also like to know at what point does the stock head unit begin to clip the output.

Oh yea the truck is an 06 KR Screw with 6 Disc/MP3/Satilite non audiophile.

Thanks

D

The factory ford radio rolls the bass off as you increase the volume. More on standard radios and less on audiophiles, but yes both do that. You should be watching the leds for clipping.

Thanks for the info, I guess I will have to hook up the remote and use it as a volume **** intstead of using it to control my sub.

Just in case some one needs to know for future ref. My HU clips the output 4 notches (2 bars on the screen) from all the way up. Just below this point is where you set the volume when doing the initial set up on the 3Sixty. It was very noticeable using a 1000 hz test tone.

Oh, by the way the 3Sixty.2 is awsome Once the gains are set on the amp, you never have to take the back seat off to make adjustments

foilhead, I have been mulling the idea of getting a 3.sixty2 for my truck. Currently I have an alpine cd player tucked away where the ashtray is. What are your impressions of the 3xity.2 so far? Which factory radio do you have it hooked up to? How does it sound compared to an aftermarket radio setup? Im somewhat of a soundquality nut and would like to know if it can accurately produce the highs and low-end tones accurately. Are you able to control the settings with a bluetooth enabled laptop or just with a palm? Also, do you have any pics?

The 3sixty works, I'm very happy with it. I got it from High Desert Audio which is the Rockford Outlet for about $350, so I wasn't out a bunch if I didn't like it.

I'm running a JL 500/5 with a ported stealthbox and infinity reference comps. There is no room on the back wall for any more amps, and I wanted to keep everything hidden from everyone.
