AMP temp?
AMP temp?
as many of you know, I have an amp temp gauge installed in my dash, here recently with the near 100* weather and 80% relative humidity my temps have been reading close to 120* on the amp. What would you consider to be "too hot" for an amp? and yes, I have 3 60mm fans blowing directly on it. It's really not that big of a concern as I'm redoing everything within 4-6 weeks, but would like to know the temp I need to start letting it cool off at is, without "letting it go" until it enters protection. As always Thanks.

If you're really interested in knowing the operating temperatures, check the manual or manufacturer's website... or if you can't find it there, give them a call.

( no sarcasm intended)
Amp temp..I have no idea? I would suppose it varies on each amp.
The last Rockford I had got hot as HE!! though, and I had zero problems with it overheating....running full tilt in hot weather, stuffed under the front seat.
What temp did you usually see?
I dont think there is any concern for anything. They are made to handle it Im sure.

Hmm, quite the jump up in temp. I still dont think its anything to worry about.
If the amp thinks its getting to hot it will go into protect, then you will know you need to do something. If its not going into protect, it should be fine if you were to ask me.
