Question Will Distribution Block Work For This?

Hey guys i have a new amplifier that just came in. The Power Acoustik Plasma TS960-4 960W 4 channel amp. This is rated for 100W X 4 and i will be using it for the front and back speakers. It requires a 4 gauge power and ground. I also have the Kenwood self-enclosed self-powered KSC-SW1 150W
subwoofer. This sub uses a 14 Gauge power wire with a 10amp fuse. I will be setting the gain on the amp to about 50% as my speakers are rated for 50W RMS.

I have ordered a 1000W 4-gauge Monster Amp kit.

My question is this:
Will it be safe to use the 4 Gauge in 8-gauge out power distubution block that comes with the amp kit to power the amp and sub, or should i just run the sub power seperate?

Thanks,
tsvsega

I think you would be fine running 4 awg to 8 awg thru the distro block. Just make sure you either use the same 4 awg to 8 awg for ground or run at least 8 awg ground from the amps to a common ground spot. All ground wires should be at least the same size as the power wires to the amps.

X2, you should be fine.

Also remember that any wire's ability to carry the load is affected by diameter and length. The shorter the 8 awg runs the better.
