Well Im plannin on puttin 3 10" Rockford Fosgate Stage 1s in my 06 F150 but Im havin a hard time findin out what kind of Amp I need to power them suckers to make em sound good. They max watts for them is 300 and the RMS watts is 150..help is much needed...Thanks

 

What coil configuration are those available in? SVC 4 ohm, DVC 4 ohm?

 

Stage 1's should be single voice coils. I think the 2007 models actually introduce a dual though. If you have three (SVC) you should have some mixed impedances or you will need an amp that is stable below 2 ohms. You should strive for a 2 ohm load though because it makes your amp choices easier. 2 ohms is what most amps like in bridged mode. There are a few out there that take below 2 ohms but they are usually pretty expensive and not as many to choose from. Recommendations on amps to me are solely based on budget. But since you already have woofers it changes the recommendations as well because of the load presented. Those woofers are extremely inexpensive and I would consider getting a 4th or losing one to change your amp purchase since it will be the bulk of the cost. I used a 500 watt PPI amp with 2 8' stage ones and never had a problem and they didn’t get to sloppy when turned up. Sounded damn good actually.

Bottom line. What impedance are the woofers and how much do you want to spend?
