It CAN"T be this hard...

I've read as many "back seat removal" posts as I can find, and I know about the clips. I've actually managed to reach around behind the seat and push the plastic clip back while 2 of us pulled up on the seat back and it didn't even budge.

What am I doing wrong? I can't imagine having to pull up any harder. Is there something else holding the seat back down?

HELP! My install is at a dead stop.

you have to push the seat down then pull up in one fluid motion. down releases the seat from the clips, up takes it off.

I had one hand behind the seat, pulling the clip towards the wall, away from the seat back while we were pulling up. I could feel the bracket on the seat back that the clip hooks on to and there was space in between it and the clip head. I even tried twisting the clip and pulling it to the right and back towards the wall.

Am I still missing something? Once the seat is released from the clip, should it be easy to slide up and off?

oh, yes, and you have to push down on the top of the seat, while still holding down on the seat top, push in the lock and THEN, lift the seat up.....

I had a hell of a time too... I never did really feel it so to speak... I just followed the pdf instructions that are out there. Use a screw driver and poke around with one had and use the other hand to push down and pull up on the seat once and awhile.. It comes off really easy if you do it right. Once i got the seat off and saw the clip It made sense on how it works and will make it easier to get at next time.

I finally got it out. I realized that I was pulling on the hooked-shaped piece behind the actual clip, which is why it didn't release. I was able to just barely get my hand behind the seat and pull back the clip with my thumb while I pushed down, and then it released. The passenger side wasn't even clipped, so it pulled right up after that.
