Finding an amp..help

Well.. the time has finally come. Im getting this sub box with two 10inch kicker cvr10. Im also going to be getting polk momo components for the front. Which amps should i get? What are some good qualtity amps for reasonable prices? How many watts should i run...150 to each speaker and 200 to the subs? Thanks

How much you looking to spend?

You could find a nice 4 channel that does 100-150 watts per channel, and bridged the rear channels for the subs...

Or find a nice 100-150 two channel, then another two channel that does 400-700 watts bridged...

Sure you have the channels wired up correctly?
The right impedance load on the amp?

That amp should run great bridged. Are you trying to power just the subs with it bridged? Are your subs dual 2 or dual 4 ohm voice coil? I am not sure if that amp will run at 2 ohms bridged so you probably need your subs wired to a 4 ohm final load.

sorry i'm have NO clue when it comes to wiring for subs.

i wired them differently from parrallel to series(the way the book said) and both ways shut the amp off.

yes only powering the sub.

not sure if the sub is 2 or 4 ohm

just know that the emblem on the face of the sub (10" kicker cvr) is red

got a pic of how it needs to be wired to handle the amp being bridged?

There are tons of amp options but, $400 max might be a little low to power everything. You could look for a really good 4 channel amp, like Arc Audio 4150XXK, that puts out 85 x 4. Run the front speakers off 2 channel and bridge the rear for your subs. Or a small 5 channel amp like the 5150XXK. I am partial to Arc but, there are tons of really good amps. Your best bet in that price range may be used on ebay. Memphis makes a 5 channel amp that will put out 600 watts to the subs. The list goes on and on.
