amp blowing fuse

I have a Clarion max675vd running to an Audiobahn 2002T. This amp was running fine with my Jensen head unit. I installed the Clarion today and hooked up the preamp and turned it on.....NOTHING. I checked the fuse box and the 20A fuse for radio power was blown. Does anyone have any idea of what I should check. It is hooked up the same way as it was to the old unit.

I don't have access to an installation manual but I would have to guess that the headunit draws too much power and it should have a fused connection direct to the battery.

On the harness it has the red power wire and the yellow 12v wire which has a fuse connected. Is that what you mean. Also the amp does have its own connection straight to the battery with a fuse . I am really wondering why by connecting the pre amp to the head unit blew a fuse. Do you think the amp is bad.

Could have just touched wires or something without knowing. Stick in a new fuse and see what it does...
