Checking Amp Gains
Checking Amp Gains
I need some help in calculating my gains, where my amp will be positioned its not going to be easy to adjust them, so I want to get them right first time.
I have a 4 channel amp that puts out 50RMS @ 4 ohms / 4 x 75 @ 2 ohms / 2 x 150 Bridged at 4 ohms, I calculated the following:
Front 2 channels will be hooked up at 2 ohms so sqrt (75 *2) = 12.25 volts
Rear 2 channels will be bridged at 4 ohms so sqrt (150 * 4) = 24.49 volts
Can someone confirm that these are correct? also what would be an good test tone to play for the front speakers and for the sub?
Thanks.

Good calculator here:

Maybe 1,000hz for the fronts and 50-60 for the sub.
