Help with Amp setting

I just installed a Rockford Fosgate punch 3002 (300 watt RMS) two channel amp to go with a set of Infinity Kappa 6 x 8 front door speakers. I'm using the factory head unit and no sub. I don't know much about audio and the amp has a switch with three settings, low pass, all pass or high pass. Also a wide range for crossover adjustment. With my setup, which is the best choice for the switch? Crossover?
Thanks for the help guys.

You want to put the amp on HP. From there you can put the variable setting to somewhere and around 80-100. If it sounds like they cant handle it (too much midbass) then just turn it a bit higher and take it from there. Trust your ears.

One other question. Since I'm using the stock head unit, I also had to get a line converter to use with the amp. The converter has gain adjustment screws for both channels. Before install, I turned the gain on the converter all the way down because I thought it would be best to control it with the amp and not the converter. After the install I wasn't getting any sound until I turned up the gain on the converter. I guess I'm wondering how much the gain should be turned up on the converter to then adjust it on the amp.

I usually try to keep em somewhat low unless absolutely needed to go higher. Somewhere below half should be suitable.
