Do i need this much power?

ok, i have 2 infinity perfect 10.1 subwoofers. the max power on them is 350 rms a piece @ 4ohms. i was looking at a power acoustik LT1440/2 amp which puts out 300 rms x2 @ 4 ohms. should i be putting less power into these subs like maybe an LT980/2 which puts out 220 rms x2 @ 4ohms? OR would you guys suggest an amp that will give me good results with these subs? thank you

Id look for a mono amp that does 600-700 wrms at 2 ohm. A 2 channel that does 300 watts a channel at 4 ohm is probably going to cost a lot more than a mono amp.

the LT1440/2 is $130, and the LT980/2 is $80. the subs are 4ohm, but i can wire them in 2 ohm? should i stay away from power acoustik since it seems to be priced cheap? i have been lookin for amps for about a month and i just dont know what would be best for these subs

Haha, wow, thats cheap for all that power. However, it is Power Acoustic. Doubtful you will see that much power from them.

You can get some pretty decent 600 watt amps on ebay for about 150 bucks.
