Question Wiring

ok guys its time to learn how to wire.
im goin to be getting 2 Rockford Fosgate Punch Stage 3 P310D4
Sensitivity: 85 dB
Recommended RMS Power: 400W
Peak Power Handling: 800W
Impedance: dual 4 ohms

I was thinking about the Rockford Fosgate Punch P6001bd amp
300 W x 1 @ 4 Ohms RMS
600 W x 1 @ 2 Ohms RMS
Total power 600 Watts
im not exactly sure it will be powerful enough for the 2 subs
if it is how should i wire them
it its not could u suggest and amp and how to wire it.

thanks i appreciate any help

With dual 4 ohm voice coil subs, your wiring options are going to be 1 or 4. The amp will not do 1 ohm and not do its max power at 4 ohm. I would maybe think about getting dual 2 ohm subs. That way, you can wire them to a 2 ohm final load and put 300 watts per sub. Either that or look at another amp.

ok so then what amp would you recommend for that set up and how would you wire it
and plus what is the difference between dual 2ohm and dual 4 ohm subs
rockford also makes the same sub in 2 ohm. would there be any difference in sound quality

I would just switch to the dual 2 ohm subs. There is no difference in quality of a dual 2 or 4 ohm sub or a single voice coil sub. It is all about wiring flexability and getting the load right for your amp.
