Recommend a 3-way Crossover?

I need a 3-way crossover for my truck before I start installing my amp's, etc.

Do brands make a difference? Some cheap options on overstock.com.. Just curious what everyone is recommending.

I have two amps, by the way. Do I need 2-way instead of 3-way?

You want an electronic crossover that you can stick between your HU and amps?

If you are only running two amp youll only need a 2 way-low pass for the sub amp, and high pass for the speaker amp.

2-way sounds good.

Woops, forgot about this, sorry about that.

Anyway-Audiocontrol, Arc Audio, Zapco...

If you dont really want to spend money on a crossover you could just split your RCA's with a Y splitter and use the crossovers on the amps...

It can be. Whenever I install a stereo for somone that only has one pre out, I just split the RCA with splitters and use the crossovers on the amps. Or else if your amps have RCA outs you can run one set of RCA's to the first amp, then another set of RCA's from the first amp to the second. Thats how Ive ran some of my stuff before...

Theres really no NEED for a crossover, but if you want one...

OK. I'll have to research my existing amps a little more before I buy one.

I'm trying to go for as close to crystal clear audio as I can.

Kicker Impulse X3i was a very nice unit and super cheap these days. I paid ~200 for one a few years back but you can find them here and there for 20 and up.

Nothing yet - haven't picked one out yet. Unfortunately that's my last step.

Hope to get the AVN5435 for Christmas. if I don't, then I'll pickup a regular Eclipse or Alpine single din CD deck. Anything you recommend should I have to buy my own deck?

Im not sure what that SVN5435 has for pre outs and crossover options, but if you get something that has separate pre outs for your speakers and amp, and nice crossover options, I wouldnt even run an external crossover.

Eclipse and Alpine are nice choices. Two of my favs if you are wanting something new and affordable.
