Question amp going dee dee dee

My amp (pioneer 760 watts) keeps cutting off and then back on when the bass hits too hard. The amp should not be clippin' because the gain is at about 1/2 way and the bass boost is also at 1/2 way. I am thinking that its because I never upgraded my power/ground wires from 8 ga. when I installed the other amp. Should that solve my problem or do I have more to worry about.

Thanks in advance.

Have you tried lowering your gains and your bass boost to see if that is it?

If it's the GM-5200T you definitely need to upgrade to a minimum 4 guage, the amp eats to much power to run 8 guage...been there done that

ive got a 4 gauge wiring kit laying around the house but it is from my old s-10 and it is about 5.5 feet too short. i can always run a distribution block but should i use the 4 gauge as my main wire or the 8 gauge, then run 4 from the dis block to the amp?? thanks

mobansheerider, what the bass does is as the song plays the bass starts to fade a little. then come back at full force then fade and finally the amp clips and then back on again. ill just do the upgrade with new **** and leave it at that.

also: whoring my own thread, I am thinking about glassing an amp rack in the place of my back side windows. this we do two things (i think). 1. looks of course 2. keep onlookers (CRIMINALS) from peeking through my glass.

feedback please

Wouldnt they just be able to peek in the two front windows and see the amp?

I would think that would make it easier to see instead of harder?!
In the looks dep't - it might be cool if done properly.
