What is your opinions of this amp? Eclipse (XA5000)
I want to mount it in the back wall of my screw and power all components and a single 10" sub. the sub will most likely be a JL or infinty sub. any thoughts?

Good amps not great. The numbers are a little misleading. 900 watts total at 10% THD 50 x 4 and 300 x 1 are closer to what you get. Their new amps have gotten good reviews. I think it would serve you well. There are several really good 5 channel amps. So do a little research on them before you commit and make sure you get the best one for you.

 

any recomendations? I'm looking to stay around 500-600 bucks or less

 

You can probably tell from my sig what I recommend. The Arc Audio 5150XXK. I run 2 of them in my install. It is 45 x 4 @ 4 ohms and 190 x 1 @ 2ohms. Do not let the numbers full you. It is an awesome amp with excellent SQ. The sub channel does closer to 225 and I have it powering my Arc 12" sub and it is more than enough bass for me. A few others:

Kicker
Memphis
Crossfire
JL Audio 500/5
Genesis
Audison

The Arc, Genesis and Audison amps are a cut above the rest in my opinion.

Eclipse XA5000
Just got it today....
Not a bad amp at all, but as dconder stated the numbers are a little misleading..
I'm going to bridge the fronts at 150w x2 @ 4 ohms with 0.05 THD
sub at 300W x1 @ 4 ohms with 0.25 THD
rear fill will be a EA2000 60W x2 @ 4 ohms with 0.05 THD

Also will have a EA4000 going in the Classifieds after I install the XA5000
