Is it the JL Audio RBC-1? If so, I ran mine along with the RCA etc. no probs at all. All I could suggest is things i'm sure youve tried....recheck your connections, if **** is detachable for installation make sure it isnt strip (turning the switch it self and not just spinning) if an old switch or **** spray some contact cleaner. If not think about getting a new gain control from your dealer or the manufacturer.

I guess it would depend on how it disassembles...if your turning the **** and its not ativating the switch it may be a simple fix. My set up utilizes a phone jack to disconnect the switch/**** from the wire itself. Try to break it down (if you can) clean it, check for obvious damage and try again. If not I would contact coustic and ask for a replacement.
