Amp & woofers blown

I took my truck to a reputable audio shop. the amp that was installed for the cabin blew out 1 week. The 2 kickers and 2 mids and 2 highs blew out in the bed area at the same time not wired together.

question what's up with that ?

other problems are 10 disc cd changer hooking up to head unit with a j plug cable. also ipod just bought no video ?

jensen 9411 head jensen 10 cd changer 2 power acoustic amp 1920watts 2 lanzar 2000 watt amps
the power acoustic amp blew
2 10" kickers in custom fit box in cabin 2 12" kickers in bed 4 rockford fosgate in the doors

it really hit hard and had super mid and highs now sounds like dog on rainy night the shop is telling me i turned it up to high but i did not do this thing they say so just wonder what else coould have caused it the fuses high and low outs are showing power out and into the amp

I just want to be sure i am not getting sheep wool on eyes grin B-)
thanks don

hah, well two things come to mind: Jensen (aka WAL MART ricer brand) and Lanzar (ebay's cheapest amp to date).

Sorry man, but you can thank your crappy amps and possibly the deck (terrible or variable voltage possibly?) for the damage.

The one thing I have learned (the hard way) in mobile audio (like most things in life, but ESPECIALLY with audio) you simply CAN NOT cut corners with cheap products and get quality output. Period.

AND, to boot, you end up paying more in the long run because you have to eat it on the cheap crap AND end up buying real stuff too.

Bummer

Agree. I wished someone would have told me that when I first started......

Man I swear that Pioneer's high pass filters set to 125 Hz can make speakers last a long time.

This sounds like a circuit city install. Get some good audio equipment. I have been running the same pioneer deck for 3 years, crossfire speakers amps and subs fore 5 years. the sound the same when new. Quality is the issue here.

** I guess system i have since it worked fine for two weeks then went back into the shop then blew is not a factor then ? i cant believe b oth ends front and rear of the system blew out at the same time without something being crossed or shorting out maybe.

OK Hmmm so Jensen aka audiovox and power acoustic are considered junk quipment ?.

aThat head unit marked down was 550.00 and seemed to have all the options of many more $$$ units.

the amps were like 130 each the lanzar amps did not blow so cant say much there but that seems typical $$$ for a amp or ??

Where i go from here is tough all the equipment has warranties but sending the stuff back and forth will take time but i will do it and see what happens thanks for the input so far guys i have done 3 or 4 of these but never with tvs and video but i have had some rocking systems never saw this happen before .

If you had it up and running, they took it to a shop and your stereo ***** out right afterwards, I would be a little leary of what that shop did. I would go in and have a talk with them. Let them know what the situation is and see what they say about it..
