Well ive been looking for a good amp to run my D6's off of. I wanted atleast 1200 watts and i was going to go with the kicker kx1250.1 until i discovered this new fosgate amp. I havent heard anything about their new RF line and was just curious to see if anyone had any insight they could share with me on them. Obviously if its any good i would rather shell out 300 bucks instead of paying over 500 for the kicker.

 

try resonant engineering's 12.1 amp. rated for 1200 watts RMS at 1 ohm but is very underrated

 

I only heard bad things about those amps on the internet. I almost bought one, because they sale them so cheap on ebay. Plus they look really different. I read somewhere that there was a flaw in the design of them and they didn't last long. Once I heard that they just don't look as good.

 

I was going to get the RF X6.A but the guy on ebay stiffed me and never sent it so I ended up getting a refund and I ended up buying the RF T5002. But I did ask one of my friends that is an installer about the x6 and he said it was some good stuff. He said the type RF stuff is rockfords top of the line stuff so go for it.

the rockford typeRF is older equipment and no longer available so be careful with warranty etc. They do offer time alignment and other adj.on the amp which can be very useful. the new power series delivers more power per dollar than the type RF and is available now new. Type rf's look incredible though, if you are looking for a good amp a little different than others like the typeRF look at the 25tolife power1000. Power series chassis w/chrome shroud and led meter on front.
