2 channel amp, HOW TO????

If im running a two channel amp, should i split the SUB output from the HU at the back of the HU, or by the amp,

Or should i run one of the channels off of the Rear Output?
Thanks,
-Patrick

Im not exactley sure what you are saying here...

What are you running off this 2 channel? Speakers or subwoofers?

i am running a 1200w 2ch amp to power 2 12's and i want to know if i should have the inputs on the amp, as a rear speakers, and a sub, or split the sub output on the HU to have two identical channels going to the inputs on the amp.

If you can, bridge the amp and wire both subs together. That will depend on the voice coil configuration of your subs and your amps bridged ohm rating. Also, by hooking up to the head units sub out, your head unit may have a level adjustment for that output so you can adjust the volume of the subs from the head unit.

Well at this point, i think ill just split the sub output into two channels, and then have two seperate (identical) channels going into and out of the amp.

So your head unit only has a single output for the sub? Not a right and left?

it has a left and a right, but i call that one channel, because each channel input on the amp has a L and R so i need total of 4 plugs coming from HU source to the amp

Right now i just hooked it up as rear pre out L+R and sub pre out L+R

I think i may end up getting splitters and splitting the signal from the HU output, but for now it works, ill have to ask the guy when i tune it what he thinks i should do as fas as channels.
