new battery?

My truck battery is 4+ years old... It is OEM ----
I was thinking of upgrading it just because of its age........
Will a new battery have any effect on the performance of my amps?
I have 2 JL audio amps..... Or is that all fed by the altenator and the battery doesn't have much input......

Thanks for any help

tim

It does in a sense. If your battery is going dead or your headlights are dimming when the system hits you'll definetly notice a difference. There is a battery called the optima. They sell them at advance auto i beleive and they have one with a red top and another with a yellow top. Those things are actually meant for cars and trucks w/ many things running including sound systems. They are a tad more expensive but worth it.

They are going to look just like this.

also try SVR batteries made by westco. High quality batteries made for systems in mind. High cca and very good amphour ratings (which is more important for what you need). I have used them in both sound quality cars and spl cars with great results.
