Depends on the amp. Most of the time your not going to have a problem with them overheating, but some amps I would be a little hesitant to put back there.

I know one person wedged their amps between the back wall and some brace, some put a piece of MDF or the like along the back wall and secure it, then screw the amps into the wood. Many ways to do it. You COULD screw it right into the back cab wall, but, even though I have done this temporarily, I wouldnt suggest it. I actually have mine like this right now untill I get off my a$$, buy some supplys, and make an amp rack for me amps/crossovers Someday.....

I have two amps behind my back seat. A Kenwood two channel bridged to drive my subwoofer and an Alpine four channel for everything else. It isn't alot of power but no heating issues.

Slayer, with the bottom part of the seat off, look between the floor and the bottom of the seat back. There are two mounting tabs on both sides of the vehicle that are attached to the back cab wall with a metric bolt. Once you get those two out, just lift up on the whole seat back and it will come unhooked from the cab. All there is to it

I have 2 rockford amps behind the rear seat for about a year, no heating problems what so ever.
