You have to follow the big wiring harness that is beihind the battery down to where it goes in the fire wall. Just below that harness (and a little bit to the right) There is a round plug. Push it through or pull it out and you can run up to a 1/0 cable through there no problem. Once I figured it out it was REALLY easy. I'll try and take a picture tonight and put it in my gallary so people can see which one it is.
This is what I did and mentioned it in a couple other threads. I have a pic in my gallery w/ a red arrow kinda pointing to the area.

EDIT: OOPS! The pic I'm talking about is for my neg ground off the battery. Sorry.

Depending on how big the amp is, mounting behind the rear seat down low is not a problem. I have mine there as do many others and have not yet run into any heat issues.

I've got a JL 450/4 AND a JL 500/1 behind my bench with room to spare. The 450/4 is massive, same size as the 1000/1

I have a PPI 5 channel behind the rt rear seat on my supercrew, with a AVN 5500, 6x8 MBQrtz reference speakers, Alpine DVD player under driver seat, 10" moniter and game port/power inverter. They have worked out well so far. The PPI amp is good sized but we fabricated a small bracket and it went in pretty slick. West Coast Auto Sound in Chino did the work.
