kicker amp help

I am wondering if anybody has a idea how to get a kicker amp out of protection mode. they say it powers up and goes into protection right away, they already tried unhooking power and rehooking it back up but does same thing?

there is probably a short of some kind in the speaker wiring, so check that out and correct as neccessary. If that doesn't work, get the blown output i.c. replaced...

You have a short some place.Remove the speaker wires from the amp and try to power it up.If it still wont run it will need to go out for repair.

Yup-first thing to do is check every inch of every wire. Might be a bad ground too.

How long do they let it power up before then know for sure its in protect mode?
My sub amp's protect light comes on for a few seconds when I first power it up-then the green light comes on and all is good.
