IS AMp fried?
Tried a diff amp...same deal just a lil out put...im stumped but last night when i pulled the head unit out and checked all teh wiring my mom was standing by my truck and i said this piece of Sh*t and she was like still not working? i was like no it sucks to the max and she said well ill help you get a new ill pay half...i was like YES lol I think for my new setup i willl get a custom box inplace of the console and prolly just one 15 and recomondations on what 15 and what amp? But what do you guys thinks the problem with my system right now?
Even though you can't see any damage it still could be blown. Have you checked your line converter. Which sends the signal from the speaker wire to the amp. I'm assuming your factory headunit doesn't have preouts on it. You might wanna check that before you take it back. Good ole mom always saves the day. My mom helped me out a bunch of times. Goodluck with what you decide. .
You can have that amp benchtested at most any auto shop and see if it is putting out what it should. If two amps are doing the same thing it is probably sub. That is what I would think. If you take the sub out and check the voice coils. They might be burnt nearly into. I've had a sub that did something similar and voice coils were burnt almost in to.

Sorry to hear dude. YES, your amp is fried. If you hear minimal sound thru your woofers, the power light on the amp is pointless, off or on, Your amp is blown. What happens is your amp is still recieving a signal via the input, but isnt cranking out power.
of course diagnosing the exact problem is tough from the info you provided. You could have fried the cell, the MOSFET circuitry, even the REM could be shot.
The problem with roasting an amp is that you have to get inside and know what your looking at.
But you have the right idea........ toss it, and get another one.

Pretty much the best thing ive ever heard...lol....Now my momma will def. help me out. I dont know what to get i would love to get a jlw7 13.5 but that and a amp to push it would b alot of money and i really dont want to spend all that much of mine and my mommas money...but hey might juust do da Da** thing
Take the unit to any shop and have them bench test the unit. That will tell you if its the unit. Most Rockford's have a built in protection mode that could have kicked in when you sparked the ground connection but buy disconnecting the power and remote to the amp and then reconnecting you should have shut that off.
